Meet the team: Harshada Khadse – Software Engineer

In our latest edition of the 'Meet the team' series, we get an insider's perspective from one of our women in tech - Harshada Khase, a software engineer who has recently joined the Ardent technology team. Harshada has come on board with a willingness and eagerness to achieve and deliver. We look forward to seeing her grow with Ardent.

Tell us about what you do at Ardent?

As a Software Engineer, my responsibility is to design and maintain web applications, as well as to design all the screens that make up a digital user interface along with the individual elements featured on those screens. My job also involves designing projects on demand for clients. I make sure to adhere to the concepts that are given by the managers. Not only that, but I also guide the freshers in designing part and help them to clear their concepts as teamwork. It is my role to ensure that all web applications are well-maintained and designed properly in order to provide the best experience to the users.

What does your typical day look like?

Organizing my desk is my preferred way to start the day. It allows me to put everything in order, review emails and messages, and reflect on the work I did the day before. I also take the time to review my to-do list and identify the most important tasks for the day. After that, we have our daily morning Scrum meeting, where everyone discusses the key points they need to focus on. Our team lead then add additional points to the agenda and we talk about our team goals and achievements. The meeting culminates with everyone presenting their solutions to problem-solving, designing, developing, and evaluating. This helps us stay on track with our goals and keeps everyone motivated and productive.

How have you found your journey with Ardent so far?

My journey has been fantastic, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that I have been given. I have learned many skills here that I can use independently, such as technical skills, team-working, communication, and interpersonal skills. The people I have encountered have been friendly and supportive, and I have gained a lot from them. I feel lucky to have been so involved with the services, as it has helped me to gain an understanding of my career path and future goals.

What do you most value about the Ardent culture?

When I got this job opportunity, Ardent's values are an important factor to consider. I appreciate the opportunity to use my skills and abilities to contribute to the organization. Honesty, integrity, hard work, and a commitment to safety are all essential elements of the company's collaborative culture. There is also a great emphasis on providing encouragement and support for employees, and on fostering growth within the organization. What’s something you are most proud of achieving since you have been at Ardent?

Setting clear goals and working consistently toward them is an important lesson that I have learned. This involves breaking down long-term goals into smaller, achievable goals and taking the necessary steps to reach them. Moreover, I have also developed my technical skills by independently working on modules and components, as well as learning the basics of Tailwind CSS. This has enabled me to become more efficient in my work and has allowed me to take on more complex tasks.

What are you most looking forward to?

I am excited to take on new challenges and grow my skills in development, design, programming, and data management. I plan to be creative and come up with unique ideas for design. I am eager to gain expertise in programming languages and strengthen my data management abilities. Additionally, I am eager to learn how to build software solutions that can help my company succeed. With dedication and hard work, I am confident that I can improve my performance and reach my goals.

What led you to a career in Tech?

The tech industry is a great place to pursue a career. From discovering new innovations to researching the latest developments, there are countless opportunities to advance in the industry. I am particularly drawn to the industry because of its potential to develop and hone my communication, leadership, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This combination of skills is vital to success in the tech industry, and I am driven to build upon them and use them to reach my professional goals.

How did you find your way to Ardent?

I was looking for new challenges to enhance my knowledge when I was looking for a new opportunity for my skills. Ardent provided me with the opportunity to learn Angular, Tailwind, and new libraries as well as provide me with a great team to work with, in which I learned the meaning of teamwork, with Ardent's positive values and a healthy work culture, it provided me with a healthy work environment.

Who are you when you’re not at Ardent?

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies or series, cooking up delicious meals for my family and spending quality time with them. I also like to use my free time to do things that I enjoy, such as reading a book, taking a walk-in nature, or simply enjoying some peace and quiet. Doing things that make me feel happy and fulfilled helps me to relax and recharge after a busy day. Having that time to myself is something that I cherish and look forward to.

What some of the team say about working with Harshada

It’s a great pleasure to work along with Harshada, she not only gives her 100% in her work but equally ensures to enjoy the outings and fun activities in office. She has an excellent skill in UI Designing with the tool and technologies she works on, she always ensures to take deep understanding of the requirement and is able to create designs that are intuitive and easy to use, she works closely along with development team to ensure that the final product meets the requirements. She is dedicated towards her work and takes full ownership of the assigned tasks. She is flexible enough to adapt the changing requirements and embraces new ideas and always open to give feedback.

Harshada always provides her extended support to other projects and helpful to pass on the understanding to subordinates. Overall, she is great colleague, a wonderful human being, a cheerful team member and a smiling personality who is ready to thrive.

Hitesh Chouhan, Technical Account Manager

Harshada has good knowledge of UI/UX and hes is a quick study when it comes to learning of new frameworks for UI/UX. She is always very suppportive and and ready to help the team whenever she can. Harsahda is a knoweldgable UI deisgner and has vast knowlge on multiple CSS frameworks such as bootsrap and Tailwind CSS. She works with speed and efficiecny without comprising on quality. A quick learner, and a great asset to the Ardent team.
